Spherion CT are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our Drill Room team on second shift. This role plays a key part in producing high-quality precision components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Operate drill press and other machinery to produce precision parts to specification

Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and technical instructions
Perform set-ups, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting of drill equipment
Inspect parts during and after production to ensure quality standards are met
Use measuring tools such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers
Maintain accurate production and quality records
Ensure proper material handling and organization of work area
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Working hours: 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
Skills:
Experience operating drill presses or working in a drill room
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers)
Experience in a production or industrial manufacturing environment
Knowledge of safety standards and manufacturing best practices
Ability to perform minor machine maintenance or adjustments
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to read basic blueprints and work instructions
Attention to detail and quality control
Basic math and measurement skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30?50 lbs
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Dependable with good work ethic and attendance
