Position: Temporary to Hire
Location: Alachua, Florida
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00/hr
Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance (PM) on machinery, equipment, and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues.
- Interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Assist with PM and repairs on mechanical equipment (engines, motors, pneumatic tools, production equipment) following diagrams and safety guidelines.
- Install, assemble, or repair furniture, fixtures, and appliances.
Operations & Safety:
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization (5S) in maintenance areas.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company EHS policies.
Working hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
- Employee must frequently lift and move over 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- The job involves consistent loud noises and requires wearing appropriate PPE.

Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1-4 years of related professional work experience is a plus
- Able to work in a manufacturing production environment and occasional outdoor work may be required in all weather conditions
