Responsibilities:
- Wall Panel Assembly: Utilize nail guns, tape measures, and hand tools to accurately assemble precut wood components according to blueprint specifications.
- Truss Building: Lay out truss components on production tables and secure them safely using staple guns and specialized plates.
- Material Handling & Crane Operation: Assist in moving heavy components as a stacker or assembler; operate overhead cranes safely (following training) to transport bulk materials across the floor.
- Lumber Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by cleaning, sorting, and properly stacking lumber.
- Quality & Safety Assurance: Inspect wood components for defects prior to assembly and strictly adhere to all plant safety protocols, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
- Prior Industry Experience: Previous experience working in a lumber yard, manufacturing plant, warehouse, or residential construction framing environment.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret basic manufacturing drawings or truss/wall component layouts.
- Equipment Operation: Prior experience operating overhead cranes, forklifts, or heavy manufacturing machinery is a major plus.

Qualifications:
- Basic Tool Proficiency: Proven ability to safely operate basic hand tools and power tools, specifically pneumatic nail guns and staple guns.
- Measurement Math: Strong ability to read a standard tape measure accurately down to the fraction (e.g., 1/16th of an inch).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout an 8-to-10 hour shift in a manufacturing environment.
- Team Collaboration: Strong communication skills and a willingness to rotate between different job roles (stacking, assembling, maintaining) as production needs shift.
- Dependability: Reliable transportation to our Clarksville, IN facility and a strong track record of consistent attendance.
