Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming raw materials.Maintain accurate raw material inventory and rotate stock using FIFO principles.Manage Kanban and JIT inventory levels to support production needs.Set up and operate saws and cutting equipment, including CNC panel saws, chop saws, and band saws.Review technical drawings, cut lists, and work orders to determine material type, dimensions, and quantities.Measure and inspect cut materials using calipers, tape measures, and other precision measuring tools.Deliver and stage pre-cut materials at designated work centers for upcoming production jobs.Process and organize scrap materials for recycling or disposal.Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.Maintain the saw area, equipment, and tools, including blade changes, lubrication, cleaning, and minor adjustments.Enter production and material information into the M1 ERP system and update inventory transactions as needed.Assist with deburring, shipping, and other production support activities.Maintain a clean and organized work area while following required safety procedures and PPE requirements.Perform other shop support duties as assigned.
1-4 years
Previous experience operating a CNC panel saw, chop saw, or band saw.Forklift certification or previous forklift operating experience.Experience working with plastic, sheet, or other raw manufacturing materials.Experience with Kanban or Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory systems.Experience using M1 ERP or similar manufacturing/inventory software.Familiarity with FIFO inventory practices.Experience reading detailed manufacturing drawings and production specifications.Previous experience with deburring, shipping, or general shop support.
High school diploma or equivalent.At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, cut lists, and work orders.Basic computer skills and ability to enter information into an ERP or inventory system.Knowledge of safe machine operation and material-handling procedures.Ability to safely operate or learn to operate cutting equipment and material-handling equipment.Ability to use basic measuring tools, including tape measures and calipers.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 150 lbs. occasionally and 75 lbs. frequently.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform bending, reaching, kneeling, and squatting as required.Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety footwear.
