Responsibilities:
Material Movement: Safely transport raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products throughout the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, or tuggers.
Production Staging: Review production schedules and work orders to stage materials at specific work centers ahead of demand to prevent downtime.
Shipping & Receiving: Unload incoming freight, verify quantities against packing slips, and load outbound trailers for timely delivery.
Inventory Control: Conduct daily cycle counts, report shortages, and use handheld scanners/ERP systems to update inventory locations accurately.
Quality Inspection: Inspect incoming materials for damage or defects and ensure all items are properly labeled and tagged.
Facility Upkeep: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and dock area, including managing waste, pallets, and recycling totes.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Equipment Experience: Previous experience or current certification for sit-down/stand-up forklifts or electric pallet jacks.
Manufacturing Background: Prior experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with RF scanners, ERP software (like SAP or Oracle), or basic Microsoft Office.
Adaptability: Ability to pivot tasks quickly based on changing production priorities.
