- Material Movement: Loading and unloading materials from pallets, uncoilers, and shelves by hand or using a forklift.- Operational Support: Reading job sheets and Standard Manufacturing Procedures (SMP) to determine what needs to be moved and ensuring workstations remain stocked throughout the shift.- Equipment Maintenance: Performing daily forklift inspection logs to ensure safety and proper functioning.- Inventory & Documentation: Using the Plexus system to count, weigh, and record units, as well as attaching identifying labels to materials.- Facility Care: Removing scrap or waste, emptying hoppers, and cleaning equipment and work areas to maintain a safe environment.- Team Collaboration: Relieving Coating Head Operators for breaks and lunches and assisting with strapping or bracing materials for transit.
1-4 years

- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.- Forklift experience.- Basic knowledge of computer systems for recording data in the Plexus system.- Must be able to perform calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, as well as compute rates, ratios, and percentages.- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions (such as Job Sheets or SMPs) and write simple correspondence.- Must be able to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and maintain the stamina to stand, walk, climb, or balance throughout the shift.
