Training & Schedule
Training Location: Initial 2-week mandatory training will take place at our Bay City location to ensure you are fully equipped for success.
Primary Location: Owosso, MI.
Standard Hours: * Mon - Thu: 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Fri: 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Enjoy your Friday afternoons off!)
Pay Range: Typically $17.00 - $18.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all front-end operations as the dedicated administrative lead for the Owosso location.
- Greet patients, manage a high-volume multi-line phone system, and oversee the master schedule to ensure optimal clinic flow.
- Collect and process co-insurance payments and past-due balances at the time of service.
- Perform rigorous insurance verification and execute prior authorizations to ensure seamless patient care and billing accuracy.
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) with high attention to detail, ensuring all patient demographics and privacy (HIPAA) standards are met.
Skills:
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology and ICD-10/CPT coding basics.
- Exceptional conflict-resolution skills when handling billing inquiries.
- Ability to pivot quickly between administrative tasks and patient needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in a healthcare support role (Medical Assistant, Receptionist, or Billing).
- Proficiency with Medical Billing software and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Ability to work independently without direct daily supervision on-site.
