As a Polisher, you will perform hand-polishing and buffing operations to ensure parts meet strict dimensional and cosmetic standards. You will work with a variety of metals, utilizing specialized tools like contact wheels, abrasive belts, and measuring devices to achieve the desired finish.

Responsibilities:
Set up and operate polishing lathes using assigned wheels, belts, and compounds.
Read blueprints and routers to ensure parts are finished to exact specifications.
Perform dimensional and cosmetic inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Maintain a clean and safe workstation and perform minor preventative maintenance on equipment.
Document production steps and quality checks accurately in the information system.
Working hours: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Skills:
Material Knowledge: Intermediate understanding of different metals and materials.
Maintenance: Previous experience performing routine maintenance on polishing lathes.
Problem Solving: Ability to identify process deficiencies and suggest improvements.

High School

1-4 years
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in hand polishing or buffing.
Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges).
Physical Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for fine detail work.
Reliability: Strong attendance record and a commitment to safety.
