Position Overview
Job Title: Production Packer
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8-Hour Shifts)
Core Responsibilities
As a Production Packer, you will work alongside the press operators performing quality checks, sort and organize the bottles, and package into boxes. You will work at the end of a high-speed production line, assisting Press Operators to ensure finished products are ready for shipment. This is a crucial role in the production process.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
Attention to Detail: Meticulous ability to spot small defects or inconsistencies while working at a steady production pace.
Packing Proficiency: Ability to properly pack items into designated boxes using specific arrangements to prevent damage and ensure accuracy.
Reliability: Strong attendance record is a must for this Monday-Friday schedule.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift, with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 30-50 lbs).
Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively with Press Operators and Forklift drivers.
Responsibilities:
1. Line Support & Organization
Off-load plastic bottles and containers from the production line as they are completed.
Sort and organize products according to specific job orders and customer requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation to ensure safety and efficiency.
2. Quality Assurance
Perform visual inspections of containers to identify defects (e.g., flashes, dents, or discolorations).
Discard or report sub-standard products to the Press Operator immediately.
Ensure all finished goods meet the high-quality standards expected by our consumer brand partners.
3. Packaging & Labeling
Properly pack bottles into designated boxes following specific count and arrangement patterns.
Seal and prep boxes for transport.
Accurately apply shipping and identification labels to every box.
4. Palletizing & Logistics
Stack boxes onto pallets according to standardized stacking patterns.
Secure and prep pallets for movement.
Coordinate with Forklift Operators to ensure finished pallets are moved to the Shipping & Receiving area in a timely manner.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
previous manufacturing experience, mechanical aptitude, safety training, experience with packaging tools such as tape guns, hand scanners, and labeling machines is a plus.
