Prototype/Production/Tooling Worker supports the Engineering Department by constructing, testing, and modifying developmental electro-mechanical components. This role bridges the gap between engineering and production by troubleshooting assembly methods and ensuring new products meet rigorous quality and safety standards.

Technical Fabrication: Fabricate fixtures and produce high-precision parts using sketches, engineering prints, and drawings.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings to determine exact tolerances for various parts and fixtures.
Quality & Safety: Adhere strictly to ISO9001 documentation, standard work instructions (SWI), and 5S standards while maintaining personal and co-worker safety.
Problem Solving: Identify and record product or process problems and recommend solutions through designated channels.
Operational Flexibility: Shift tasks with little to no notice based on business needs and work overtime or weekends as required.
Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Continuous Improvement: Experience contributing to plant-wide recycling programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Quality Systems: Familiarity with ISO/TS 16949 and Environmental Management System ISO 14001.
Adaptability: Proven ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Safety Certification: Ability to achieve operator certification according to plant-specific processes.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience: At least one year of related professional experience and/or specialized training.
Mathematical Proficiency: Ability to perform calculations in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Communication: Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, and effectively communicate observations impacting product quality.
Physical Capabilities: Must be able to regularly lift 10 lbs, frequently lift 30 lbs, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Technical Vision: Specific vision abilities including close vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
