Spherion is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector I to join a manufacturing team in East Providence, RI. This position is responsible for inspecting products, performing measurements and functional testing, documenting results, and ensuring products meet established quality standards.

Perform variable and attribute inspections according to established sampling plans.
Document inspection findings accurately.
Review basic blueprints, dimensions, and notes related to products being inspected.
Measure parts using luer gauges, go/no-go pins, digital calipers, optical comparators, tensile testers, and other inspection equipment.
Perform functional testing as required.
Package, weigh, label, and record accepted and rejected products.
Determine product acceptability based on established workmanship standards and procedures.
Identify and properly disposition approved and rejected products.
Perform sorting and rework activities when needed.
Maintain and properly handle inspection and testing equipment.
Follow quality, safety, and production procedures.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Work cooperatively with team members and other departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills:
Previous quality assurance or quality inspection experience.
Experience using calipers, gauges, or other measurement equipment.
Experience reading basic blueprints or technical drawings.
Manufacturing or production experience.
Experience with sorting, rework, or product inspection.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Basic math skills.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Ability to follow written procedures and instructions.
Ability to work accurately with small parts and inspection equipment.
Ability to remain standing for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Good attention to detail and visual inspection skills.
Ability to distinguish color, depth, and fine details during inspections.
