In this non-exempt role, you will be the primary owner of the PPAP process for parts being transferred into our local plant. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, you will act as a vital link between production, project management, and customer service to ensure all technical documentation is completed and approved prior to shipment. Your focus will be on driving interim and full PPAP approvals while maintaining seamless communication with sister plants and customer Quality Engineers.
This role is contracted for 6-9 months with the possiblity of being hired on full-time!
Responsibilities:
Documentation Management: Assemble and create PPAP elements and CORE documents, ensuring total alignment between Process Flow, FMEA, and Control Plans.
Compliance: Maintain checklists to ensure all elements, including customer-specific requirements, are covered with zero missing documents.
Process Validation: Validate shop floor processes, including "First OK" and Safe Launch protocols, and define critical features for quality assurance.
Problem Solving: Lead 8D problem-solving initiatives for any PPAP-related issues and address customer feedback to close gaps.
Coordination: Drive on-time submissions to meet project deadlines and prevent customer rejections.
Safety: Establish and promote a safe working environment at all times.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Industry Focus: Previous experience managing PPAP submissions specifically for major automotive OEMs.

Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret blueprints featuring GD&T, as well as industry-standard technical specifications.
Analytical Skills: Strong math skills and the ability to interpret instructions for the use of inspection and test equipment.
Digital Literacy: Comprehensive computer skills within a Microsoft Windows-based business environment.
Professionalism: Proven organizational, leadership, and communication abilities.
