Spherion is seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our team in Worcester County, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for packaging finished pallets, transporting materials throughout the facility using pallet jacks or forklifts, and supporting the efficient flow of inbound and outbound inventory. Responsibilities:
Walk, stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
Independently grip, lift, push, pull, and carry boxes, including navigating inclines, stairs, and uneven surfaces.
Read and write English to accurately process orders and labels.
Lift, move, and organize boxes while processing incoming and outgoing shipments.
Use a computer system to track orders and locate inventory.
Operate handheld scanners efficiently.
Climb and maintain balance on ladders as required.
Lift and carry boxes up to 100 lbs. safely and independently for extended periods.
Operate and maneuver hand carts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Load, shrink wrap, and secure pallets at ground level or on carts.
Manually and mechanically load boxes onto pallets and pallets onto trucks.
Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
Able to lift 30?50 lbs frequently
Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Good attention to detail
Able to work well as part of a team
Able to follow verbal and written instructions
