Responsibilities:
-Inspect, diagnose, and perform routine and preventative maintenance on specialized commercial sewing machines to keep production seamless.
-Set machine timing, adjust thread tensions, align needles, and replace worn components like needles, hooks, and gears.
-Operate and monitor a Gerber cutting machine alongside other modern garment industry equipment.
-Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and parts inventory.
-Safely move and organize raw materials and finished products throughout the facility as needed.
Working hours: 6:30 PM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
-Prior experience working with industrial sewing machine maintenance or specialized textile machinery.
-Familiarity with standard mechanical diagnostics, electrical components, and pneumatic systems.
-Ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-Experience operating industrial manufacturing or garment machinery.
-Strong mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and comfort using hand tools (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers) on intricate moving parts.
-Ability to stand, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds consistently throughout a shift.
-Strong adaptability, a relationship-driven mindset, and a willingness to train production operators on proper machine setup.
-Ability to pass a standard national background check and pre-employment drug screening.
