Spherion - Leesburg is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our client's warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and dispatching outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This role requires familiarity with warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving procedures, and equipment operation such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The Shipping Clerk plays a critical role in maintaining smooth warehouse distribution operations, supporting order fulfillment, and ensuring customer satisfaction through accurate and timely shipments.

Pay Rate: $16.59/hourly
Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Daily Start Time: 2:30 PM
Daily End Time: 1:00 AM
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the proper count and verification of all incoming and outgoing product loads and returns.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and secure working environment.
- Monitors product being shipped for quality.
- Works cooperatively with co-workers.
- Notifies a supervisor/manager if there are issues with overages/shortages or quality products.
- Break-down tray stacks of bread, muffins & bagels, & arrange product for efficient loading and operations.
- Daily processing of required paperwork, including inputting any adjustments/ shorts/overages, and verifying loads to account for all products, utilizing computer applications.
- Responsible for communicating with sales management regarding daily activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Working hours: 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM
Skills:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. overhead.
- Must be able to push/pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stack product according to sales center stacking procedures.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb, twist etc.

High School
Experience:
0-1 years
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Preferred).
- 1 year of shipping or warehouse experience.
- Understanding of generally accepted warehouse principles.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
