Responsibilities:
Oversee daily activities of Shipping Clerks and provide direction as needed.
Coordinate shipping activities to ensure orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
Review shipping and load documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure proper load proofing and clear documentation of shipments.
Train new Shipping Clerks and assist with ongoing employee training.
Provide feedback to employees regarding work performance and procedures.
Review the daily shipping schedule and help prepare the warehouse for incoming and outgoing shipments.
Coordinate with warehouse leadership and dispatch to maintain an efficient workflow.
Inspect trailers and shipping areas to ensure they are clean, safe, and ready for loading.
Ensure carriers follow proper safety procedures, including the use of wheel chocks.
Monitor proper weight distribution when loading third-party carriers.
Maintain an organized and clean shipping dock.
Identify and communicate shipping issues to management for resolution.
Operate pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks, forklifts, and other powered industrial equipment as required.
Follow all company safety, shipping, and warehouse procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
Experience training or mentoring warehouse employees.
Experience coordinating daily shipping schedules.
Experience working with third-party carriers.
Experience with forklift or other powered industrial equipment.
Experience troubleshooting shipping or warehouse issues.
Knowledge of warehouse layout, product locations, and space utilization.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
Shipping and warehouse operations experience.
Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Ability to read and use WMS menus and reports.
Knowledge of shipping documentation and load verification procedures.
Ability to accurately count, identify, label, and verify products.
Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers, management, carriers, and other personnel.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
Ability to operate warehouse equipment used in shipping operations.
Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
