Spherion RI is seeking a meticulous and tech-savvy Shipping & Logistics Specialist to join a dynamic warehouse operations team. Accurately pack orders and verify product quality prior to shipment
Coordinate logistics by scheduling, weighing, and pricing shipments using carrier platforms
Process shipments through systems such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx, and DHL
Prepare and manage documentation for international shipping and exports
Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate stock levels within the ERP system
Cross-check order data across multiple systems to ensure labeling and manifest accuracy
Conduct final quality checks on all outgoing shipments to prevent errors
Maintain a high level of data integrity and accuracy in all shipping processes
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
International shipping knowledge (documentation, export requirements)
Prior experience in a warehouse environment
Understanding of logistics coordination and domestic/international shipment scheduling
Exposure to quality control processes in shipping/packing
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
PC skills (multi-screen navigation, Microsoft Excel proficiency)
Typing skills (must complete skills assessment)
Previous experience in shipping, packing, or logistics
High attention to detail (zero-error mindset; mistakes are costly)
Ability to navigate multiple software systems for order processing
Inventory management experience (verifying stock levels, data accuracy)
Experience with shipping platforms: UPS WorldShip, FedEx, DHL
