Spherion RI is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory, assisting customers, and supporting overall warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality
Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders in a timely manner
Load and unload trucks using proper equipment and safety procedures
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
Organize and stock warehouse shelves for efficient product access
Assist walk-in customers with order pickup and product inquiries
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (if certified)
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Collaborate with team members and assist in other departments as needed
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Forklift operation/certification
HVAC warehouse experience
Customer service abilities
Ability to learn new computer systems
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
2 to 3 years of warehouse and shipping experience
Effective communication skills
Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs
Dependable and ready to start on scheduled date
Willingness to assist across departments in a team-focused environment
