Spherion is recruiting on behalf of one of Vermont's top employers, seeking multiple Shipping/Receiving Associates to work on a contract-to-hire basis in Vergennes with a supportive team and room for growth.
Responsibilities:
- Package products for shipment in accordance with company standards, carrier requirements, and government/military packaging specifications

- Verify shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and export paperwork
- Ensure part number and serial number on product matches shipping labels
- Unload inbound shipments from trucks using pallet jacks or other material handling equipment
- Receive and inspect incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
- Ability to lift and move packages
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a regulated environment
Education:
No Degree Required
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Experience processing domestic and international shipments using SAP or similar ERP and carrier systems (FedEx, UPS, DHL, freight forwarders)
- Hazmat / Dangerous Goods certification
- Experience with AESDirect/ACE filings
- Experience in regulated industries (aerospace, defense, or medical)
- Familiarity with export controls (ITAR/EAR), government shipping requirements, and compliance procedures
