Responsibilities:
Loads and unloads materials and goods from ingoing and outgoing trucks.
Moves, stores, and spaces materials as directed, using motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
Uses computer and/or RF equipment continuously for material handling assignment information, including updating the system to indicate current inventory, generating and printing barcode labels to attach to products/containers, and confirming transaction completion.
Assists in training new staff and training current staff in new or revised procedures.
Leads other material handlers in daily work assignments to ensure daily production goals are attained.
Acts as a backup to the Material Operations Supervisor or Manager as requested, including key holding responsibilities.
Makes suggestions on process improvements to reduce material handling time, errors, and safety incidents.
Attends training or meetings scheduled by management to share information and help improve overall work processes.
Maintains a clean work environment by upholding good 5S (cleanliness, organization) conditions in assigned work areas.
Performs other duties as assigned
Working hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
Systems Experience: Strong working knowledge of the BPCS system
Education:
High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or GED required.
Experience:7???10 years of relevant experience required.
Prior warehouse experience required.
Certifications: Must be certified (or have the ability to be certified) to operate Stock-picker, Reach-truck, and propane forklifts.
Basic Aptitudes: Knowledge of industrial safety practices and procedures.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals).
Ability to read and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to train others on how to perform tasks
