Spherion Mid Ohio is hiring Warehouse Package Sorters for 1st and 3rd shift opportunities in Stow.
You'll work in a fast-paced distribution environment sorting, scanning, moving, and processing packages for shipment.
No previous warehouse experience is required. If you're dependable, comfortable staying active, and can keep pace in a busy environment, we'll train you.
What You'll Do
- Sort and process packages for shipment
- Load packages and parcels onto conveyor systems
- Scan labels and verify information for accuracy
- Sort packages by location, ZIP code, and routing requirements
- Move boxes, bins, and packages throughout the operation
- Use a pallet jack to move materials as needed
- Move between work areas based on daily package volume
- Keep your workstation clean and organized
- Work with your team to keep packages moving accurately and efficiently
What We're Looking For
- Reliable attendance and transportation
- Comfortable with fast-paced, physical work
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout a 10-hour shift
- Comfortable frequently bending, reaching, squatting, and moving
- Ability to follow instructions and established processes
- Basic counting, addition, and subtraction skills
- Ability to sort information alphabetically and numerically
- Dependable, team-oriented work habits
Previous warehouse experience is helpful, but NOT required.
What to Expect
This is an active warehouse environment where you'll be on your feet and moving throughout the shift.
Temperatures can vary, and you'll work around conveyor equipment, packages, normal warehouse noise, dust, and dirt.
If you prefer staying busy rather than watching the clock, this could be a good fit.
