Spherion West Springfield, MA is seeking Warehouse General Labor role. This is responsible for supporting day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, order fulfillment, and shipping processes. Responsibilities:
Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments, ensuring goods are accurately checked and recorded.
Load and prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packing, labeling, and staging merchandise.
Move materials throughout the warehouse using appropriate handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts when trained).
Stack, store, and organize inventory in designated areas to maximize space and maintain order.
Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, and reporting discrepancies to supervisors.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and compliance with established procedures.
Perform general labor tasks and assist various departments based on operational needs.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
Basic knowledge of inventory management systems or warehouse software.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, shipping labels, and inventory sheets.
Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
Problem-solving skills to handle discrepancies in orders or inventory.
Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.

High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items (commonly up to 40???50 lbs) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Basic communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Prior warehouse or general labor experience is desirable but not always required.
