Spherion VT is recruiting for a packager who will be responsible for the efficient final-stage processing of whey products into bulk storage or shipping containers. This role focuses on operating high-speed packaging machinery, ensuring precise weight measurements, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Working in a fast-paced production environment, you will collaborate with the processing team to meet daily output goals while strictly adhering to SQF (Safe Quality Food) and USDA regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot automated packaging lines, including baggers, sealers, and robotic palletizers.
- Monitor product weights, seal integrity, and labeling accuracy to ensure all finished goods meet customer and regulatory specifications.
- Perform rigorous Clean-in-Place (CIP) and manual cleaning procedures to maintain a sterile food-processing environment.
- Maintain accurate production logs, including lot numbers, weights, and safety checks in accordance with company policy.
- Safely transport finished pallets and raw packaging materials using pallet jacks or forklifts to support continuous production.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and basic food safety protocols.
- Ability to perform basic equipment adjustments and identify mechanical issues during the packaging process.
- Capability to stand for long shifts, perform repetitive motions, and lift up to 50 lbs consistently.
- Ability to perform basic calculations for weight verification and inventory tracking.
- A proven track record of punctuality and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime as needed.
