Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records through daily balancing of the Federal Reserve, Tellers, ATMs, and Loans
- Perform critical reconciliations for key accounts including correspondent banks and Positive Pay
- Help safeguard funds through effective use of Positive Pay controls and internal audits
- Research discrepancies and resolve accounting related questions for other departments
- Ensure all duties are performed in strict accordance with banking regulations, internal controls, and bank policies
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 AM
Skills:
- Prior experience working within a bank or credit union environment is strongly preferred
- College level accounting or finance coursework
- Experience with department projects and process improvements
- A team oriented approach and a willingness to cross train across various financial operations
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- High comfort level working with numbers, complex reconciliations, and financial data
- A proven commitment to accuracy and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly
- Professional communication skills with a high degree of respect for financial confidentiality
Ability to manage strict deadlines in a structured, fast paced environment
