Cash Flow is the Heartbeat—Do You Keep the Pulse?
We’re representing a key client in Columbia, SC who understands a simple truth: numbers are important, but the people behind them are what keep the business thriving. We are looking for a motivated, reliable Accounts Receivable Specialist who wants more than just a desk—they want a seat at the table in a stable, collaborative finance team.
The Real Deal: Why This Role Matters
Our client isn't looking for a robot; they’re looking for a proactive problem-solver. You’ll be the "guardian of the aging report" and the friendly face of the firm’s treasury. If you enjoy the satisfaction of a perfectly reconciled deposit and the art of a diplomatic collection call, you’re going to love it here.
Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It)
...
The Money Mover: You’ll master daily receipts, process payments/refunds, and coordinate with banks to ensure everything is exactly where it should be.
The Billing Artist: Accuracy is your middle name. You’ll prepare and distribute invoices via mail, email, and portals—ensuring our client’s work is reflected perfectly on paper.
The Relationship Architect: Collections don't have to be awkward. You’ll use your professional charm to follow up on overdue accounts, securing payments while keeping the client relationship "Gold Star" status.
The Ultimate Wingman/Wingwoman: You’ll be the go-to backup for the finance team, stepping in to assist with projects that keep the department running like a well-oiled machine.
What You Pack in Your Suitcase
The Track Record: 1–3 years of verifiable AR or accounting experience. You’ve been in the trenches and you know the drill.
The Tech Stack: You’re a pro in MS Excel and Word. VLOOKUPs don't scare you (and if they do, you’re eager to learn!).
The "People" Person: You have the "soft skills" to handle tough collection calls with grace and the "hard skills" to ensure the data is flawless.
The Culture Add: You thrive in an open-concept office. You like your coworkers, you value a supportive environment, and you’re always ready to lend a hand.
The Bottom Line
This is a stable, secure opportunity in a world where "stability" is the ultimate perk. You’ll work in an environment where your precision is celebrated and your contribution to the company’s heartbeat (the cash flow!) is truly valued.
