Responsibilities:
(Duties vary depending on practice area placement)
Corporate & M&A: Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating buy-side and sell-side transactions, commercial contracts, corporate governance documents, and due diligence reports.
Banking & Finance: Provide legal counsel to financial institutions and creditors; draft loan and security agreements; represent creditors in bankruptcy court proceedings.
Trust & Estate Administration: Advise clients on fiduciary tax, gift, and estate matters; draft court pleadings; review financial/real estate records; prepare funding calculations and tax returns.
Client Engagement: Maintain direct communication with business owners, executive leadership, financial institutions, and individual clients.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience representing mid-market or large corporate entities (for M&A focus).
An existing book of business (for Banking & Finance focus).
Background exposure to estate planning, real estate, corporate, or non-profit law (for Trust & Estate focus).

Doctorate

4-7 years
Qualifications:
Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Licensure: Active license (or eligibility for immediate admission) to practice law in the State of Indiana.
Technical Skills: High proficiency in legal research, legal drafting, document management tools (e.g., NetDocuments), and Microsoft Office Suite.
Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, strong analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
