Spherion Staffing is hiring a temporary night shift Band Saw Operator/Helper for a fabrication company in Graham, TX! The work schedule is 60 hrs a week, Mon-Fri 6PM-6AM, for $18.25/hr. This assignment is expected to last until end of January 2027.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, calibrate, and operate band saw

- Adjust feed rates, blade speeds, coolant flow, and clamping pressure based on material type and thickness.
- Read blueprints and tape measure to execute precise straight and miter cuts.
- Deburr edges and band, stage, or palletize cut materials for fitters and welders.
- Measure cut pieces to verify tolerances; track scrap and document part numbers/heat numbers.
- Inspect, replace, and tension saw blades; clear metal shavings/chips; top off cutting fluids and lubricate equipment at shift turnover.
- Communicate completed cut batches, machine status, and tooling needs to the day shift lead.
Working hours: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Skills:
Must be able to perform physical requirements for duration of 12 hour shift, lifting up to 50 lbs consistently.
Experience using a band saw preferred

Qualifications:
Must be able to read a tape measure
Machine operating experience required
Experience in a fabrication machine shop
