Job Description:
This position is ideal for a retired individual or a stay-at-home parent seeking steady daytime hours in a supportive environment.
Seeking candidates for a part-time cleaning custodian that could end up being some additional hours.
General cleaning throughout our clients facility.
Assist the Maintenance Manager with various different responsibilities throughout the property.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain cleanliness of the floors: sweep, mop, wash, vacuum, and polish using brooms, industrial vacuums, floor scrubbers and buffing machines.
- Manage waste and recycling, including breaking down cardboard boxes.
- Maintain lunchrooms and break areas.
- Clean and sanitize multiple areas throughout the facility.
- Monitor and report facility issues concerning: repairs needed, safety hazards or equipment issues.
- Dust and polish furniture.
Education: High School
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 3 months
- Prior work in industrial building care and cleaning.
Physical:
- Ability to change light bulbs, standing, bending, lifting and moving throughout the shift.,Ability to lift up to 35#.,Mobility: Must be able to walk and stand for the majority of the shift, as this role requires constantly physical activity for 5 hours.
Skills:
- Teamwork and independence: ability to work as part of a team or independently.,Awareness of safety practices.
Related Experience: General knowledge of cleaning products and methods., Prior work in industrial building care and cleaning.
