Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled CNC torch and plasma operator and material handler to join our team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC plasma and torch system, cut precise metal parts, and handle material movement and inventory. The Ideal candidate will have experience with CNC equipment, a strong focus on safety, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Cutting Department with all material handling needs.
• Set up and/or operate machine tools associated with the cutting process, such as shears, saws, choppers, hand torches, belt sanders, hand grinders, CNC torch, CNC plasma, lasers, and the CNC saw.
• Learn to operate CNC equipment – torch, plasma, saw, and laser.
• Assure efficient and accurate use of all measuring devices associated with the cutting processes.
• Assure quality of each job to its final destination; identifying all jobs with
• proper labeling, and packaging finished products in such a way as to
• provide protection from abuse and weather.
• Perform other duties, shop wide, as assigned.

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: 6 months

• Develop and plan sequence of operations.
• Knowledge of lifting and rigging procedures relating to cranes, forklifts, and other lifting devices.
• Machine maintenance and safety.
• Basic cutting machine maintenance.

Physical:

• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 lbs.,Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check and physical.

Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.,Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.,Ability to problem solve.
