The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up raw materials, loading programs, and operating multi-axis CNC machinery to produce precision components for high-reliability aerospace and defense applications. Responsibilities:
Machine Operation: Prepare, setup, and operate CNC machines (including Haas 3+2 axis machinery) to perform milling, turning, drilling, and grinding operations.
Material Prep & Setup: Load raw materials onto machinery, set up tool and material probes, and perform test runs to ensure outputs meet engineering criteria.
Process Monitoring: Monitor machines during production runs, making necessary offset or feed adjustments to ensure optimal output quality.
Quality & Inspection: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure compliance with engineering prints; document completed quantities and quality metrics.
Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate directly with Quality and Engineering teams to report, troubleshoot, and resolve non-conforming parts or process discrepancies.
Routine Maintenance: Perform daily machine inspections, basic preventative maintenance, and routine cleaning to maintain equipment functionality.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Technical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude combined with solid shop math skills.

4-7 years
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on CNC machine operation experience and/or formal technical training in precision machining.
Machining Expertise: Proven experience operating CNC machinery with strong proficiency using precision hand measuring tools.
Controller Knowledge: Hands-on experience setting up and operating machines using Haas controllers with integrated tool and material probing systems.
Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and accurately interpret complex blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical specifications.
