Responsibilities:
Machine Support: Assist CNC Operators with loading raw materials onto machine beds and safely unloading finished products.
Material Handling: Organize, stage, and move materials around the shop floor using pallet jacks or by hand.
Deburring & Finishing: Clean, sand, and debur finished parts to ensure smooth edges and high-quality finishes.
Quality Inspection: Use basic measuring tools (calipers, tape measures) to check parts against specifications and identify defects.
Shop Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace. Empty scrap bins, sweep floors, and wipe down machinery daily.
Team Collaboration: Follow safety protocols, assist other departments as needed, and communicate effectively with the shop supervisor.
Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Prior Shop Exposure: Previous experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or machine shop environment.
Blue-Print Literacy: A basic understanding of how to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, or technical schematics.
Power Tool Proficiency: Comfort and safety-awareness when using basic hand tools, grinders, sanders, or deburring equipment.
Mechanical Aptitude: A natural knack for working with your hands, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues, or understanding how machines operate.
Qualifications:
Willingness to Learn: No prior CNC experience needed, but you must be eager to learn mechanical processes and take direction from senior machinists.
Dependable & Punctual: Excellent attendance is a must. If the helper isn't there to load materials, the machines sit idle and production stops.
Physical Stamina & Strength: The physical capacity to stand on concrete floors for an 8 hour shift.
Command of the English Language: Ability to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and written instructions, safety warnings, and production labels in English.
Hand-Eye Coordination: Good manual dexterity for handling raw materials, stacking finished parts, and using basic hand tools safely.
