Job Description:

A foundational role in manufacturing responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure high-quality output and efficiency.   Candidates must have their own transportation, as public transportation is not a viable option for this position.

Responsibilities:

• CNC Job Responsibilities include:
  • Operate CNC machine to cut, shape, or form work pieces to specifications.
  • Is responsible for start-up and shutdown of equipment 
  • Is responsible for proper loading and unloading of parts.
  • Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools to change out cutting tools when needed
  • Measures work piece for conformance to specifications using dial indicators, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Has basic reading and math skills; can follow instructions

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.   The employee is frequently required to walk.   The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.   The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  Skills:

  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. 
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
