Our client has over 75 years of industry-leading heritage and operates a network of 80+ stocking facilities across North America and Chile. They specialize in providing extensive local inventory and expert conversion capabilities, including cut-to-size sheets, film reel conversion, and CNC routing and machining. Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator / CNC Programmer to join the fabrication team. In this direct hire role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and potentially programming CNC machinery (routing and machining) to convert plastic materials according to specifications. Success in this position requires a commitment to quality, safety protocols, and efficient production to meet diverse customer needs.

Competitive Compensation: Pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour for experienced CNC Operators. The pay scale increases to $25.00 to $30.00 per hour for candidates who possess advanced CNC Programming skills.

Excellent Schedule: Enjoy a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime available as needed.

Responsibilities:
Some of your daily duties will include:
- Plan fabrication and machining by studying work orders, production paperwork, materials, specifications, dimensions and tolerances
- Evaluate programs for machine equipment by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, and calculating requirements by using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry
- Process each order per customer specifications
- Verify accuracy of parts by adhering to inspection process set by management
- Maintain specifications by observing and taking measurements using tape measures and micrometers, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, sharpening and replacing worn tools, and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
- Complete preventive maintenance requirements by following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, notifying warehouse lead, and/or calling for repairs
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting/communicating actions, irregularities, and needs
- Maintain quality parts and processes by visually and dimensionally inspecting parts, production paperwork, with inspection reports completed upon receipt at each department
- Adhere to basic housekeeping standards and safe operating procedures (OSHA, PPE, etc.)
- Document actions by completing production and quality logs
- Forklift Operation
Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
These skills are Preferred:
- Experience in cabinet shop with CNC
- Experience with thermoforming
- Experience programming CNC (specifically Mastercam software)
- Experience with maintaining machines a plus
- High School Diploma or GED
Education:

Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Ability to calculate requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry
- Experience with MS Office and basic math skills
- Able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Follow all safety procedures
- Ability to read blueprints and work instructions
- High level of honesty and integrity
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must pass a background investigation as part of the selection process
- Must pass the drug test as part of the selection process
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.
