This role focuses on the essential maintenance, repair, and service of city water and wastewater infrastructure. ensures the reliability of meters, lift stations, and collection systems while providing direct service to the community.
Responsibilities:
Perform repairs on mechanical equipment, grounds, buildings, and lift stations. Assist with bypass pumping and dewatering setups.

Install, test, and repair water meters and boxes. Handle service connections and disconnections (including non-payment shut-offs).
Assist in investigating blockages, leaks, odor complaints, and manhole/valve defects.
Maintain assigned tools and equipment. Identify and report safety hazards or vandalism.
Accurately manage daily paperwork, work orders, and maintenance logs.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Ability to plan, layout, and perform assigned work from work orders, equipment maintenance catalog cuts, diagrams, sketches and blueprints.
Knowledge of City and its geography, street locations and meter locations.
Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and practices of water meter repair, testing, and installation.
Ability to operate sewer cart and other equipment as needed in performance of job.

High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical training in building maintenance, plumbing, or pipe fitting is highly preferred.
Licensing: Must possess a valid Florida State Driver???s License.
Experience driving trucks and operating heavy equipment is required.
