We are looking for a detail-oriented Sanitation Custodian to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in our manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for cleaning both the administrative offices and the production floor, ensuring that our facility meets all FDA, USDA, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards. In food manufacturing, the Sanitation Team is the first line of defense against contamination. Your work directly ensures that the food reaching dinner tables is safe, high-quality, and compliant with federal laws.

Responsibilities:
Production Sanitation: Clean and sanitize food contact surfaces, machinery, and production floors using approved chemical agents and high-pressure washing systems.
Waste Management: Collect and dispose of trash, recyclables, and organic food waste according to facility protocols.
Office & Common Areas: Clean and stock restrooms, breakrooms, and administrative offices to provide a professional and hygienic environment.
Chemical Handling: Safely mix and apply cleaning chemicals, ensuring proper titration and adherence to Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Documentation: Maintain accurate cleaning logs and checklists to ensure audit readiness for internal and external inspections.
Supply Management: Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
GMP Knowledge: Prior experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practices environment.
Chemical Training: Certification or experience with industrial sanitation chemicals (e.g., quaternary ammonium, peracetic acid).
Equipment Operation: Experience operating floor scrubbers, pressure washers, or forklifts.
Regulatory Familiarity: Basic understanding of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) or FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) guidelines.

Stamina & Physicality: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying temperatures (coolers or hot production zones).

Safety Mindset: Understanding of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and the ability to follow strict safety protocols around moving machinery.
Communication: Ability to read and interpret chemical labels and safety signage.
Reliability: Consistency is key in food safety; we need someone who shows up ready to protect the integrity of our products.
