Spherion Fort Myers is seeking a mature, assertive, and solutions-oriented Lead Dispatcher for one of our premier local clients. This isn't your typical desk job-you will be the heartbeat of a busy delivery warehouse, acting as the central link between in-home driver teams, contractor leadership, and operations to ensure every delivery is a success.

Working Hours & Shift Information:
-Schedule: 5-day operation (Tuesday-Saturday).
-Requirement: Must be available Fridays and Saturdays; Sundays are guaranteed off.
-Shifts: 6 am-2:30 pm, 8 am-4:30 pm, or 11 am-7:30 pm (Shifts may rotate based on operational need).
Responsibilities:
-Dispatch & Route Oversight: Monitor 10???20 daily routes, maintaining direct contact with driver teams to keep them on schedule and documenting any issues.
-Performance Accountability: Address driver performance concerns and escalate issues to contractor leadership if teams are unresponsive or non-compliant.
-Customer Escalation Support: Act as a liaison between customers and drivers during in-home deliveries to de-escalate complaints and clarify expectations.
-Warehouse Support: Direct returning driver teams on trash segregation and ensure the completion of the formal check-in process before they depart.
-Team Leadership: Serve as the lead for CSR support staff, capturing daily service disruptions and reporting recommendations to the Ops Manager.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 7:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
-Prior experience in handyman work, appliance installation, or furniture assembly.
-Previous leadership experience in a dispatch or warehouse setting.
-Familiarity with Descartes Route Planner, CLX, or other TMS systems.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-3+ years of experience in dispatch, field operations, or logistics (appliance or furniture experience preferred).
-Assertive phone presence with the ability to remain calm under pressure and influence others.
-Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with constant live driver communication.
-Reliable and professional demeanor???this is a customer-facing leadership position.
