Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
Pay $18-20/hour DOE
Responsibilities:
-Disassembly & Prep: Safely tear down incoming AC/DC electric motors, pumps, and shop equipment; clean parts, degrease housings, and prep components for repair.
-Testing & Diagnostics: Learn to use electrical testing tools (multimeters, meggers) to check windings, identify electrical shorts, and troubleshoot motor failures.
-Mechanical Repairs: Replace worn bearings, seals, carbon brushes, and hardware using hand tools, bearing heaters, and shop presses under direct guidance.
-Motor Rewinding & Soldering: Learn the fundamentals of coil winding, insulation placement, wire connection soldering, and varnish application.
-Final Assembly & Testing: Reassemble motors, perform live bench testing to verify performance, and ensure equipment is operating properly prior to customer delivery.
-Shop Maintenance: Assist in keeping the workshop clean, organized, and tools properly accounted for.

Qualifications:
-Positive Attitude & Willingness to Learn: A genuine interest in mechanical work and learning a hands-on technical trade.
-Basic Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable safely using standard hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, pliers) and basic power tools.
-Attention to Detail: Ability to follow step-by-step instructions, take clear notes during teardowns, and track small parts and wire configurations.
-Reliability: Dependable daily attendance for a full-time, Monday-Friday schedule.
-Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical shop tasks safely.
-Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
-General familiarity with small engine repair, automotive mechanics, or DIY shop tools is a plus, but not required!
