Responsible for the operation, calibration, and maintenance of advanced measurement systems (FTIR, FID, NDIR, PM), ensuring all data meets rigorous regulatory and internal quality standards. Provide technical oversight and project management for diverse testing areas, including gas stands, engine stands, power electronics, and NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness).Developing new test procedures, commissioning state-of-the-art equipment, and implementing software/automation best practices to improve lab efficiency and repeatability.Act as a bridge between product engineering and the lab, troubleshooting complex equipment issues and cross-training team members on modern test engineering tools.
7-10 years
Familiarity with EPA, CARB, or global emissions standards.Proficiency in emissions measurement principles, equipment diagnostics, and digital communication protocols (CAN, Modbus). Knowledge of global regulations (EPA/CARB) and signal processing is highly valued.Knowledge of Signal Processing (Filtering, FFT analysis).Technical knowledge and experience with the following is highly desired: Electric machine and power electronics testing, Gas stand thermodynamic testing, NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) and Fatigue testing (High/Low cycle).
Bachelor???s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (Master???s preferred).Minimum of 6 years (12+ preferred) in engine or industrial exhaust emissions testing within an R&D or lab environment.Hands-on experience with emissions measurement hardware (FTIR, FID, NDIR, PM systems).Deep understanding of emissions measurement principles and calibration methods.Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex laboratory equipment.Experience developing and documenting formal test procedures and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
