The Manager will oversee engineering projects and manage a team of engineers in a busy 24/7 metal manufacturing foundry. What You'll Do:
Drive Process Improvement: Develop project scopes, cost estimates, justifications, and project schedules.
Manage Critical Systems: Oversee engineering projects related to compressed air systems, cooling water systems, and bridge crane systems.
Lead the Team: Manage an engineering department with about 5-6 direct reports, including Senior, Process, and Mechanical Engineers.

Compensation: $155,000 - $175,000/year.

Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Ensure the safety of self and others by diligently adhering to safe work practices and procedures.
- Layout & Efficiency: Establish equipment layout for expansion and efficiency.
- Project Management: Establish and adhere to tight design schedules and cost budgets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain open communication with Maintenance, Operations, and Senior Management.
- Production Support: Assist production engineers in troubleshooting day-to-day production problems and writing or modifying quality work instructions.
- Team Leadership: Handle management responsibilities including coaching and mentoring, corrective/disciplinary action, ADP payroll, training, and performance reviews.
Working hours: 6:45 AM - 7:00 PM

- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills (both oral and written) , and effective in the preparation and presentation of technical material.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: Training within the manufacturing environment with responsibility for developing and improving production processes. Management and leadership experience of engineers and hourly machine operators is required.
- Technical: Experience in the use of statistical techniques for improving process capability, process optimization, and control.
- Availability: Able to be reachable by phone and onsite if/as/when needed.
