As the Environmental Engineering Coordinator, you will serve as the primary subject matter expert for OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA Risk Management Plans (RMP). You will balance technical documentation, such as maintaining factory drawings in AutoCAD, with high-level project management and emergency response coordination. Your mission is to foster a robust safety culture while driving continuous improvement in waste reduction and energy efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Process Safety & Ammonia Management:
Lead all regulatory requirements for PSM/RMP, including 3-year compliance audits, 5-year mechanical integrity inspections, and 5-year Process Hazard Analysis (PHA).
Operational Control: Oversee the Management of Change (MOC) process and perform pre-startup safety reviews for ammonia system modifications.
SOP & Training: Write, update, and verify Standard Operating Procedures for ammonia-related tasks and ensure operator competency.
Environmental Affairs: Manage compliance for Air Emissions, Hazardous Waste, Storm Water, Waste Water, and SPCC, as well as Homeland Security anti-terrorism standards.
Emergency Readiness: Act as the liaison with local emergency teams and organize annual full-scale ammonia drills.
Engineering Support: Maintain factory-wide AutoCAD drawings and assist with conceptual design and contractor management for capital expansion projects.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Certifications: RETA/IIAR or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
Specialized Training: Advanced environmental compliance training.
Software Knowledge: Experience with VAULT software for technical documentation.

Education: Bachelor?s degree in Engineering or a Safety-related discipline.
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in ammonia PSM and utilities compliance.
Regulatory Expertise: Deep knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119, EPA RMP, and IIAR standards.
Technical Proficiency: Skilled in AutoCAD and data management software.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead steering committees and influence safety culture across various departments.
