Job Description:

A specialized manufacturing role that combines electrical component production (winding) with mechanical assembly and metalworking (fabrication). These professionals are essential in industries like aerospace, automotive, power generation, and industrial machinery, responsible for taking raw materials and transforming them into functional, high-quality components.

Responsibilities:

• Setup and operation of Filament Winder
• Basic programming and editing
• Use of ECRs when needed
• Ensure traceability of parts by move tickets.
• Reads and understands the Job Traveler in setup and operation of the filament winder; this includes the job numbering system, part numbering system and manufacturing operations.
• Effectively set up and operate the filament winder, the computer, the spool holder, the coating apparatus and the tensioner.
• Generate the code to properly run product on the filament winder per the engineering drawing and instructions from the Engineering Department.
• Able to operate the filament winder to produce parts compliant to requirements.
• Basic editing and programming.

Education: High School

Experience: 6 months

Physical:

• Must be able to lift 50+
• Able to stand and move around with no issues 

Skills:

• Pays attention to details.
• Independently motivated and organized.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. (anything over requires 2 people or lift device).
• Must be able to stand for entire shift (except during break time).
• Able to read mics, calipers and any other inspection tools required.
