This role is ideal for a maintenance skilled, organized professional who can support daily facility building maintenance, preventive maintenance, and safety compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day facility operations across six medical locations, including the ASC.
- Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, plumbing, minor electrical, and general building systems.
- Carry out preventive maintenance tasks and schedules for all buildings, equipment, and systems.
- Ensure the ambulatory surgery center remains compliant with AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) regulations and is consistently inspection-ready.
- Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to identify and address maintenance, safety, or operational concerns.
- Maintain organized records, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, service documentation, and vendor invoices.
- Respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies, including occasional after-hours support.
- Assist in coordinating with external vendors and contractors when needed.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to meet facility-related operational needs.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
A background in HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, or general maintenance is preferred.
Education:
High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid drivers license and reliable personal vehicle required.
- Technical aptitude with practical experience in one or more of the following: HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, or general maintenance.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment and materials as needed for maintenance tasks.
Additional Requirements
Must be comfortable traveling between multiple locations within Brevard County.
Must be able to respond to urgent or emergency facility situations, occasionally outside regular business hours.
