As an Assembly Operator IV or V, you will utilize advanced skills primarily focused on fiber optics.
You will be a key team member responsible for:
-Optical connector and cable assembly, termination, and advanced testing of various fiber optic cable assemblies.
-Assisting in test station setup and providing training to new and existing employees.

-Supporting process development and problem resolution for new optical products from concept to market.
-Driving continuous improvement to reduce costs and increase manufacturing efficiency.
-Maintaining a safe, organized work area and adhering to all TE Connectivity policies.
Various shifts available:
1st shift (7:00 am-3:30 pm Monday-Friday)
2nd shift (3:00 pm-11:30 pm Monday-Friday)
Weekend Shift (7:00 am-7:30 pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Responsibilities:
-Polish and test fiber optic cables.
-Assemble, package, and terminate fiber optic connector components, including various standard and new termini designs.
-Operate fiber router and complete over-molding process (as needed).
-Perform EFG & IPC (workmanship) checks.
-Set up and operate electronic test equipment (Optical Power Meters, IL/RL Test, Oscilloscope, DMM, etc.).
-Measure components using calipers and gages; derive measurements from drawings.
-Troubleshoot and perform minor equipment repairs.
-Support prototype, test, and pre-release NPI product builds (as needed).
-Complete necessary operational paperwork for product traceability.
-Train and lead advanced assembly processes for numerous products, serving as a technical escalation point.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
-Working knowledge of hand tools and blueprint reading preferred.
-High School diploma or GED.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-Must be able to present proof of US Citizenship - it is an ITAR facility.
-Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience, including 1+ years in fiber optic manufacturing.
-Experience using electronic testing equipment such as Oscilloscope, DMM, and Variable Power Supplies.
-Proficient dexterity and motor skills for intricate/delicate work.
-Ability to work with small parts in a clean room environment, using a microscope.
