Pay: $17-18/hr
Responsibilities:
Document Preparation: Removing staples, clips, and binders to prepare physical files for high-volume scanning.
Digital Imaging: Operating professional scanning equipment to convert physical records into high-quality digital formats.
Data Entry & Indexing: Utilizing Windows-based software to name, categorize, and save files according to company protocols.
Quality Control: Reviewing scanned images for clarity and ensuring no pages were missed during the process.
Organization: Re-filing or disposing of physical documents securely after scanning is complete.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
High-Volume Scanner Proficiency: Experience with industrial-grade scanners (e.g., Fujitsu, Kodak, or Canon) and understanding how to clear paper jams quickly.
Adobe Acrobat Professional: Ability to merge, split, and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) PDF documents to make them searchable.
Standardized Naming Conventions: Experience following strict file-naming protocols (e.g., YYYY-MM-DD_ClientName_DocumentType.pdf) to ensure digital organization.
Data Entry Speed: A high words-per-minute (WPM) or 10-key typing speed to ensure indexing keeps up with the scanning speed.
Quality Assurance (QA) Mindset: The habit of checking for "dog-eared" pages, blurry images, or double-fed pages that the scanner might have missed.
Physical Stamina: The ability to remain focused and productive while standing or sitting for long periods during repetitive tasks.
Basic Troubleshooting: Ability to solve minor hardware or software "hiccups" (like reconnecting a scanner or restarting a program) without needing IT support for every small issue.
Security Consciousness: Understanding the importance of handling sensitive or confidential information and ensuring no documents are left unattended.

Qualifications:
Computer Savvy: Must be highly proficient with Windows OS and navigating file folder structures.

Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain 100% accuracy while handling repetitive tasks and sensitive information.
Reliability: Commitment to the full 8am???5pm schedule for the duration of the two-month project.
