- Shift: Full-time, 12-hour shifts (2-2-3 schedule)
- Availability: AM and PM shifts
- Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00/hour, BOE
Responsibilities:
- Maintain target throughput levels by promptly responding to production issues, leading initial troubleshooting, and escalating complex issues to the Supervisor as required.
- Coordinate major activities including changeovers, clean-ups, set-ups, and shutdowns.
- Change operator labor assignments and perform operator duties as needed to maintain continuous production.
- Develop and execute the training plan for new operators and ensure all packaging employees are adequately developed to perform their assignments.
- Coordinate break schedules and monitor break times for all employees.
- Participate in periodic performance reviews, providing constructive feedback on packaging team members.
- Lead all CILR (Cleaning, Inspecting, Lubricating, and Repairing) activities to ensure compliance with published schedules
- Promote and enforce compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Food Safety, and personal conduct standards.
- Lead packaging employees during emergencies and drills, ensuring full and proper evacuation to assembly points.
- Verify all process documentation (including disposition reports) is filled out correctly, accurately, and delivered to the proper locations on time.
- Communicate proactively with Supervisors and other Area Leads to ensure a seamless flow and prevent interruptions in production between departments.
Requirements:
- Proven ability to interpret production schedules to identify pack job numbers and required materials.
- Proficiency in using the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to ensure the accuracy of downtime and job data.
- Maintain an attendance and performance record in compliance with company policy.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with all team members.
