The Forklift Operator is responsible for supporting the incoming, outgoing, and storage processes of materials and equipment within the warehouse and storage yard. This role heavily relies on the safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment, specifically cherry pickers (order pickers) and standard forklifts, to navigate high-density racking. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and cherry pickers in a consistently safe manner to retrieve, stage, and store materials in high-level racking systems.
- Pull orders accurately from pick tickets and prepare items for shipment, which includes palletizing, wrapping, and preparing shipping documents.
- Put away received material to inventory, verify documentation, and record data accurately into the warehouse computer system.
- Pick and stage items onto pallets for Quality Control (QC) inspection, verifying picked orders by quantities and part numbers.
- Load and unload incoming/outgoing trucks while verifying physical inventory against shipping documents.
- Replenish high-demand shelves and store items in an orderly, accessible, and safe manner.
- Perform routine cycle counts of products and mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, or labeling equipment.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, immediately reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure strict compliance with OSHA and safety regulations.
- Assist with general warehouse housekeeping and perform other duties as outlined by leadership.
- Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
- 1-2 years of logistics, distribution, or warehouse experience.
- Prior experience utilizing RF scanners and warehouse management software (WMS).
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Proven experience safely operating a Cherry Picker / Order Picker forklift.
- Active Forklift Certification (or the ability to pass the company's certification process upon hire).
- Valid Drivers License for the operating state.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to regularly lift or maneuver up to 75+ lbs., and continuously stand, bend, walk, lift, and reach throughout a shift.
- Comfortable working at heights while operating a cherry picker.
- Comfortable working in a large, open-space warehouse environment exposed to seasonal heat/cold elements and moderate noise levels.
- Strong basic math skills: The ability to accurately count and recognize different sequences of numbers and letters.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required by business needs.
- A high-quality work ethic rooted in safety, honesty, integrity, and reliability.
