Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Delegate daily assignments to operators and associates while managing hiring, performance reviews, and training for new team members.
Production Flow: Collaborate closely with the Scheduling department to meet customer deadlines and maintain consistent workflow.
Quality Defense: Act as the first line of defense against defects by performing and auditing quality checks using the Manufacturing Inspection Process (MIP).
Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve technical issues on the fly and escalate major roadblocks to the appropriate departments.
Floor Management: Monitor work-in-process and raw material staging to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency.
Hands-on Support: Assist with machine shop operations such as de-burring, assembly, or inspections whenever necessary to help the team meet goals.
Working hours: 5:15 AM - 5:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Machine Shop Expertise: A deep understanding of the specific flow and nuances of a machine shop environment.
Collaborative Mindset: Proven ability to work as a team player to hit production milestones.
Quality Focused: Experience with formalized inspection processes (like MIP) to ensure zero-defect production.

1-4 years
Qualifications:
Leadership Experience: Prior experience managing a team of 10 to 20 employees within a manufacturing environment.
Technical Literacy: Ability to read routers, follow complex procedures, and perform standard machine shop operations.
Physical Stamina: High hand dexterity, the ability to lift up to 35 lbs, and the stamina to stand or move throughout the facility for the duration of a shift.
Communication: Ability to clearly communicate efficiency levels and scheduling issues to the Operations Manager.
