Responsibilities:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating all outbound shipments, preparing orders for delivery, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring products leave the facility on time and in excellent condition. This role works closely with production, inventory, and logistics teams to support daily operations in a fast?paced manufacturing environment.
Prepare, package, and stage outgoing orders according to customer specifications and internal quality standards.
Create and maintain shipping documentation including BOLs, packing lists, labels, and carrier paperwork.
Coordinate pickups with freight carriers, LTL providers, and local delivery services.
Verify order accuracy by comparing finished goods to work orders and shipping requirements.
Maintain shipping logs, tracking information, and digital records for all outbound shipments.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and material?handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Communicate with production and inventory teams to ensure orders are complete and ready for shipment.
Inspect outgoing materials for damage, accuracy, and proper packaging.
Assist with receiving duties as needed during peak periods.
Support continuous improvement efforts as the company scales operations.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience:

Qualifications:
1+ year of shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred; manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is a plus.
Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and production schedules.
Experience using shipping software, label printers, and basic computer systems.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Forklift experience preferred (company can certify).
