We are seeking a hardworking and reliable individual for an immediate, one-day assignment at a local metal production facility. This role is focused on facility maintenance and "slag" removal (metal byproduct).
You will be responsible for clearing collection boxes and ensuring the work floor remains clear of debris. This is a high-activity role that requires manual dexterity and the use of hand tools (shovels/crowbars) but does not require heavy lifting.

Responsibilities:
Use a shovel to clear metal slag and dross from collection boxes after they are pulled from the machine.
Use a crowbar or specialized scraping tools to pry loose hardened slag from the bottom and sides of containers.
Transfer shoveled slag into larger disposal bins or hoppers for final removal.
Sweep and pry loose metal fragments from the floor to ensure a safe, trip-free workspace and smooth movement of equipment.
Strictly follow all safety protocols regarding sharp edges and wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Skills:
Prior experience in a warehouse, metal shop, or industrial cleaning environment.
Familiarity with PPE requirements

Qualifications:
Must be able to start on 01/24/2026 and complete the full shift.
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and perform repetitive scraping/shoveling tasks.
Experience using basic hand tools like shovels and crowbars.
Ability to arrive at the job site on time for this short-term project.
High awareness of surroundings in an industrial environment.
