Job Description:
We make high-quality glass products, and we need a dependable worker to run our glass polishing machines. In this role, you will help smooth sharp edges, remove scratches, and make glass panels shine before they go to customers. You do not need years of background to apply—we provide on-the-job training.
Responsibilities:
- Run the machine: Set up, start, and monitor automatic or semi-automatic polishing equipment.
- Load and unload glass: Carefully place raw glass panels onto conveyor belts or tables and remove finished pieces.
- Inspect the glass: Check edges and surfaces for chips, scratches, rough spots, or cracks.
- Make basic adjustments: Choose the right polishing pads, adjust water flow and polishing compound, and change worn parts when needed.
- Measure parts: Use simple tools like tape measures and gauges to make sure each piece matches the work order.
- Keep your area clean: Wipe down machines, clear away broken glass safely, and organize your work station at the end of each shift.
- Follow safety rules: Always wear required safety equipment, including cut-resistant gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots.
